Debate Reaction
I've sort of been avoiding doing immediate reaction to the debate posts. Why? Because Peter David, Wonkette, and espeically Mr. Sun do it much better than I do.
Both candidates have easy, go-to factual mistakes today. Fortunately, Bush's play worse on TV. Kerry accused Bush of not meeting with the Black Cacus, Bush did. Bush denied not worrying about Osama. CNN is showing video of Bush not worrying about Osama. Kerry solidfies the base with the words "women," "black," "hispanic," and "women." And did I mention "women"? Bush soldifies the base with that stuff about "litmus test" and "culture of life." The gun nuts are a draw; I thought Kerry seemed credible when he said, "I was hunting and came across some drug dealers with an AK-47, and so I shot them with my manly shotgun." Because John Kerry is manly, and has a massive plan. I heard on NPR that Bush met with the Black Caucus when they took a bus to the White House during the Haiti crisis. So he couldn't very well turn them away. I think Bush has pretty much ignored the Black Caucus unwisely. All he had to do is meet with them on a regular basis say twice a year. No good reason why he couldn't do that. If Blacks in FL are allowed to vote this time it could cost him. GuyPost a Comment |
