The New York Times had this tidbit over the weekend:

Increasingly, officials say, Syria is to the Iraq war what Cambodia was in the Vietnam War: a sanctuary for fighters, money and supplies to flow over the border and, ultimately, a place for a shadow struggle.

Anyone remember how well that worked out for us?

Speaking of US History, I saw A History of Violence yesterday. I liked it, but I think you will like it more. It is based on a comic book; oops, excuse me; a graphic novel. Anyway, it is pretty interesting. _ UT movie critic
