Jews
An interesting article in The New York Observer.
The average American Jew would rather be blown up in a pizza parlor than shake hands with [uber-conservative, pro-Israel evangelicals]. But here we are, and I don't see it changing anytime soon.I'd rather shake Pat Robertson's hand than diebut have him and his ilk as my staunchest allies? At the very least, it's a hint that something's out of whack. I have a theory about Jews and their career choices. I think that we inherit the careers of our parents and since many rabbis had large families and were the litigators and healers of their community we have many lawyers and doctors. As for the women I look around at all the female comedians and lesbians and I surmise that the women of the shetle must have been sleeping together and laughing. I think the US government is still Israel's staunchest ally. Mostly thanks to AIPAC (in spite of their spies). - UT Israeli big thumbs up to my sis in Seattle, love that last line! Maybe Barbara Streisand should have called that movie "Bentyl" instead of "Yentyl." - Laughing in the West as well.Post a Comment |
